Who is the Rockford Rage?

We are lawyers, teachers, exercise physiologists, managers, reporters, engineers, Moms, sisters, daughters and tough, athletic chicks! We are the Rockford Rage Women's Roller Derby. We skate fast, turn left and love what we do...remember this is our hobby...it is our life. We are derby girls.

*Being a part of roller derby right now during it's time of growth feels like making history to me.......probably much like early football players during the first years of the NFL. Then add to that, the love of the sport and the commitment of helping the Rockford Rage blossom into the WFTDA league it will become is simply an amazing feeling.

I'm proud to be a part of this league that brings a sense of purpose to so many independent women. Plus, it's fun showing the boys that we can play contact sports too, but with no shoulder pads and with wheels strapped to our feet, even! ---------Killswitch

The Rage came into my life at a time when I needed it most. I was going through a very rough time and felt lost. After joining The Rage and meeting all of the WONDERFUL girls, I began to heal and was finding myself again. The Rage to me means ... rejuvenation, a new outlook on life and family! -------Tantrum O'Neal

Being a member of the Rockford Rage is by far the coolest thing I've ever done. No matter your background, personality, initial athletic skill or body type, there is a place for you in roller derby. I've learned to be more confident. If I can get up in front of a crowd, skate, fall down, booty block, achieve or fail, I can do anything. The Rage is a wonderful group of supportive skaters, refs and support staff. Go Rage! Dee :-)
